  • When did the Episcopal Church begin in Alaska

The first Episcopal Mission was established in Anvik, 1889.   In 1895, the National Church appointed Peter Trimble Rowe as the first Bishop of Alaska.   However , before 1889 there was an Anglican missionary presence since 1861 by a diocese in Canada.

  • Who are or were the bishops of Alaska

The present Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Alaska is the Rt. Rev.
